Do I risk a brick installing GMenu2X?
No. GMenu2X' default installation is performed on the sd memory and it works in its own folder without overwriting the default GPH interface.

Simply delete the gmenu2x directory and autorun.gpu from your sd/nand.

Just create a new folder under gmenu2x/sections
